This morning started out just fine with me waking up at the usual 5:20... and trying to fall back asleep. I did this morning and when I heard the kids waking it was my cue to get up and dressed and down to their room to help them do the same. We had breakfast and it was the first meal I could eat without feeling nauseous since I got here so that was great!
Then after breakfast Carolina told me she was going backupstairs with the baby and Chris was off to work so I was in charge of the children. So we packed our bag with rollerskates and snacks and of course sunscreen and were headed to the park. Once we were out the door the kids had a melt down. The boy would not budge from hiding behind the door and just kept repeating the same thing over and over again but of course I had no idea what he was saying. Its especially frustating because I can't use any parenting techniques because they do not know what i'm saying to them. Like usually if one kids pouting I just pout back or say something like, fine you can stay here and cry and we'll go have fun rollerskating at the park! and then start walking and they always follow. But nothing worked because we both had no idea what the other was saying! so I came back inside and asked Chris who hadn't left yet to help out. Then we ended up just staying home because he wouldn't do anything else but play in the backyard. If all i do for the next eight weeks is play tag or soccer in the tiny tiny backyard I dont know what i'll do! It is honestly just so boring! I wish I could communicate.
sounds like you need one of those electronic dictionaries :/
