3 boys my age:)

Yesterday I boarded a train to Delft where a guy named Matthias was supposed to be waiting for me at the station. I realized once i was on the train that i forgot to look up a picture of him on facebook so i had no idea who i was meeting other than his name was matthias. Train stations always have two entrances, one from each side direction so I went to the left entrance and looked around but there was noone there. I called him and then he said he must be on the other side so i headed over there for the akward TWO cheek kisses. I was confused and thought it was three so it was quite funny! I was glad when it was over and we could move on with the afternoon.

He then pulled out his map and told me to pick where we should go. He was very organized and had already facebooked me a link to all of the "things" we could do and see while in delft. So i picked to go to the old church.. and the new church. They were insane. All important people were burried there and we just walked over the graves. The floor was made up of graves! it was quite wierd just walking over famous dead people. When we went to the "new" church, it was not new at all! it was massive and had the tallest bell tower i've ever seen. It was beautifull!

We then went to see the Royal Delft Blue pottery "factory" everything there is made by hand and i mean EVERYTHING. The molds for the clay figurines, the clay, the glaze! It was so cool!

when the parking meter ran out i thought i'd head home kinda early and just have a chill night before my "work week" started, but instead he invited me to his house for dinner with the fam:)
the only condition his mom made was that we needed to cook dinner and Matthias made me choose what to cook! It was quite interesting grocery shopping because i had no idea what to make. I picked the vegetable first! My favorite:) brocolli. Then of course i prefer chicken with my brocolli, so we picked up some chicken breasts followed by some rice. It turned out to be a delcious dinner but they wanted something canadian and i have no idea what to cook thats canadian... so it was labeled canadian. He had such a nice family... three boys all around my age. one 21, one 19, and one 17:) and they all spoke english so i was happy with that.

At dinner we disgused video games and i told them that i've played halo but am probably the worst video gamer in the world so after dinner they wanted to see my skills so we played some world of warcraft! haha, i actually got some kills and was quite proud of myself! It ended up boarding the train around 945 and didn't get home till 1030... and then of course i had to go on teh computer and do random evenign things still so it ended up beign a late night and a very difficult morning! and now... i woudl love to be having a nap, but since the kids are in my care, thats not really possible!
