I met a girl from Canada yesterday, her name is Marie. We went to do touristy things together in The Hague! First we went to see Miniature Holland. It took us like 3 hours to go through it all... and we had our little english guide booklets and we just walked around looking in awe at all the cool things there are to see in Holland. We bought a 10 cent mars bar from the miniature mars bar chocolate factory and the line up was all little kids... and then us... not so little:)
AFter our visit to the miniature world of holland we headed to the Peace palace where the International court of justice is held (part of the UN) It was cool to see but seeing it was a sunday it was not open for a vist... so we just got to look from the front gates:)
we then headed to the canadian embasy... although i dont think i took a picture. Hopefully I will be headed near there to the Swedish embassy soon to pick up my Visa!
Then of course we did a little shopping... but seeing as most shops close at 5.. and it was already 5, there was not much shopping to be done, so we headed to a nice city square to find a nice restaurant to eat at. I had chicken with spicy peanut sauce salad, and of course frites with mayo. It was delicous. I also had an icetea becaue i can't get enough of the fizzy ice tea wonderfullness here. something i think definitally should be sold in Canada!
today i am off to delft to meet Matthias, a friend of saras from YWAM... so that should be exciting:)
I'll post some pictures of yesterday soon... they are already on my facebook page if you want to see more!
Heidi, I agree!! I wish we had fizzy ice tea in Canada!!
